The Holding It Together Club

Last updated: 30th June 2026

1. Who we are

The Holding It Together Club ("we", "us", "our") is a business operated by Lola Omo trading under the name "The Holding It Together Club."

You can contact us at hi@holdingittogetherclub.com.

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to your use of our website at www.holdingittogetherclub.com and to any subscription or other product you purchase from us. By placing an order or using the website, you agree to these Terms.

If anything in these Terms is unclear, please email us before placing an order.

Note: We are in the process of incorporating as a limited company. When we do, these Terms will be updated to reflect the new company details. The contract you have with us will transfer to the new company automatically and your rights as a consumer will not be affected.

2. About these Terms

These Terms form a legally binding contract between you and us. We may update them from time to time, and the latest version will always be available on our website. If we make a material change that affects existing subscribers, we'll email you at least 14 days before the change takes effect.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

3. Eligibility

To purchase a subscription, you must be:

  • Aged 18 or over;
  • Resident in a country we ship to (see Section 9); and
  • Able to enter into a legally binding contract.

If you are buying as a gift for someone else, you remain the customer for the purposes of these Terms. The recipient does not need to agree to them, but we may communicate with you about the subscription rather than the recipient.

4. The subscription

The Holding It Together Club is a monthly subscription service. Each month, we send you a physical envelope containing a curated selection of items as described on our website.

The contents of each envelope will vary from month to month. We reserve the right to substitute items where necessary (for example, if a supplier is out of stock), but the overall value and theme of the envelope will remain consistent.

We do not guarantee that any specific item shown on the website will be included in any specific month's envelope, except where we have explicitly committed to it (such as the welcome pack items in your first envelope, or specific milestone items such as the gold pin sent to subscribers continuing into their fifth month).

5. Placing an order

When you subscribe, you'll be asked to provide your name, delivery address, email address, payment details, and certain optional information (such as your birthday). You're responsible for ensuring all information you give us is accurate and up to date. You can update your details at any time by logging into your account.

Your order is accepted, and a contract formed between us, when we send you an order confirmation email. If we cannot accept your order (for example, due to a stock issue, payment problem, or because we don't ship to your country), we'll let you know and refund any payment taken.

6. Pricing and payment

The current subscription price is shown on the website at the time you place your order.

  • UK subscribers: £9.99/month
  • International subscribers: £12.99/month

All prices include VAT where applicable. Postage is included in the subscription price for UK and international deliveries.

We may change subscription prices from time to time. If we change the price of an existing subscription, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email. You can cancel before the new price takes effect if you don't wish to continue.

Your subscription recurs monthly on the anniversary of the date you first subscribed. For example, if you subscribe on the 3rd of the month, payment is taken automatically on or around the 3rd of each following month. Payment is taken via our payment processor at checkout. If a payment fails, we'll attempt to take payment again and email you. If payment cannot be taken within 7 days, your subscription will be paused until payment is successful.

7. Your right to cancel (14-day cooling-off period)

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your subscription within 14 days of receiving your first envelope, without giving any reason, and receive a refund.

To exercise this right, email us at hi@holdingittogetherclub.com within 14 days of the day you received the first envelope. We'll ask you to return the envelope and its contents to us, and we'll cover or reimburse reasonable return postage where the law requires it. We may reduce your refund to reflect any loss in the value of the items caused by handling beyond what is necessary to inspect them, but we will not refuse a refund simply because the envelope has been opened. Once the cancellation is processed, we'll refund within 14 days.

This right does not apply to:

  • Any envelopes already received outside the 14-day window;
  • Personalised items (such as a numbered membership card with your name), which cannot be returned for a refund once made;
  • Sealed items that are unsuitable for return for hygiene reasons, once unsealed.

8. Cancelling or pausing your subscription (after the cooling-off period)

You can cancel or pause your subscription at any time by logging into your account or emailing us at hi@holdingittogetherclub.com.

  • Monthly subscriptions: Cancellation takes effect after your next billing date. If you cancel before the next billing date, you will not be charged again, but you will still receive any envelope already paid for.
  • Pre-paid subscriptions (3-month, 6-month, annual): You can cancel at any time, but we do not refund the unused portion of pre-paid subscriptions except where required by law (for example, under the 14-day cooling-off period in Section 7).
  • Pausing: You can pause your subscription for up to 3 months. During a pause, no payment is taken and no envelope is sent.

We won't ask you why you're cancelling, and we won't try to talk you out of it. If you ever want to come back, you're welcome to.

9. Delivery

We ship to addresses in the United Kingdom and to selected international destinations. The destinations we currently ship to are shown at checkout. If we don't ship to your country, you won't be able to complete an order.

Envelopes are dispatched on or around the 15th of each month. Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed:

  • UK: 2-5 working days after dispatch (Royal Mail);
  • International: 7-21 working days after dispatch.

If your envelope hasn't arrived within 14 days (UK) or 28 days (international) of dispatch, please email us and we'll either resend or refund.

We're not responsible for delays caused by:

  • Incorrect delivery information you've provided;
  • Postal strikes, customs delays, or other circumstances outside our control;
  • Failure of the recipient to be available to receive delivery.

You are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, or fees charged by your country on international orders.

10. Changes to delivery address

You can update your delivery address at any time by logging into your account or emailing us. Changes must be made at least 7 working days before the dispatch date to take effect for that month's envelope.

If an envelope is returned to us as undeliverable, we'll contact you to arrange redelivery. You may be charged additional postage if redelivery is needed because of incorrect address information.

11. Gift subscriptions

If you purchase a subscription as a gift:

  • The contract is between you and us, not between us and the recipient;
  • You're responsible for providing accurate delivery details;
  • Gift subscriptions do not auto-renew unless explicitly selected at checkout;
  • The 14-day cooling-off period begins when the first envelope is received by the recipient.

12. Letters sent to us and the Letters from the Club podcast

We invite subscribers and other members of the public to write to us at our PO box address. Letters we receive may be considered for inclusion in our podcast, Letters from the Club.

We will never read, share, or publish your letter publicly without your explicit, written permission. If we'd like to feature a letter you've sent, we will write back to you with a Featured Letter Consent Form. You can choose whether to be credited by full name, first name only, initials, a pseudonym, or anonymously, and you can decline entirely.

Full details of how letters are handled, including your rights, our editorial process, and what happens if you withdraw consent, are set out in our separate Letter Submission Terms, available at www.holdingittogetherclub.com.

By writing to us, you confirm:

  • You are 18 or over;
  • The letter is your own work;
  • You understand we may keep your letter for up to 12 months for editorial reference;
  • You understand we will only feature your letter with your separate, written consent.

If you are in crisis or need urgent support, please do not rely on us as a source of help. We are not a mental health or crisis service. Resources are listed in our Letter Submission Terms.

13. Intellectual property

All content on the website and within the envelopes, including letters, illustrations, patches, designs, photography, podcast audio, and written material, is owned by us or licensed to us, and is protected by copyright, trade mark, and other intellectual property laws.

You are welcome to:

  • Use the items in your envelope for your own personal, non-commercial enjoyment;
  • Share photos of your envelope contents on social media (we'd love it if you tagged us);
  • Iron the patch onto whatever you like.

You are not permitted to:

  • Reproduce, copy, or resell any of our content or items;
  • Use our brand name, logo, or designs for commercial purposes without our written permission;
  • Reproduce letters or written content in whole or in part on any public platform without credit.

14. Acceptable use of the website

You agree not to:

  • Use the website for any unlawful purpose;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website or any account;
  • Introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful code to the website;
  • Use the website in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that breaches these Terms.

15. Our liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
  • Any matter for which it would be unlawful to limit or exclude liability.

Subject to the above, our maximum liability to you under or in connection with these Terms is limited to the total amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the liability.

We're not liable for any losses that:

  • Were not foreseeable at the time the contract was made;
  • Result from your own breach of these Terms;
  • Result from your failure to provide accurate information.

If you are a consumer, we are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by us. This does not affect your legal rights as a consumer.

16. Allergies, sensitivities, and safety

Our envelopes may contain items such as paper crafts, patches, stickers, iron-on transfers, and small surprise items. If you have any allergies or sensitivities (for example, to certain materials, adhesives, or scents), please contact us before subscribing so we can let you know whether the contents are likely to be suitable.

Our envelopes are not designed or intended for use by children under 3 years old, and may contain small parts. Please keep envelope contents out of reach of young children.

The iron-on patches are designed to be applied with a household iron. We'll include instructions, but we're not responsible for any damage to garments caused by incorrect application of the patch. Please follow the instructions carefully and test on a small area of the fabric first.

17. Complaints and disputes

If you have a problem with your subscription, please email us at hi@holdingittogetherclub.com in the first instance. We aim to respond within 2 working days and to resolve complaints within 14 days.

If we can't resolve a complaint to your satisfaction, you may be able to refer it to an alternative dispute resolution provider.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

18. Our relationship with Shopify

Our store is powered by Shopify, which provides the technology that enables us to sell to you online. Any sale or purchase you make is made directly with The Holding It Together Club, not with Shopify. Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of the sale, including any injury, damage, or loss resulting from the products or services you purchase from us. You release Shopify and its affiliates from any claims, damages, and liabilities arising from or related to your purchases and transactions with us.

19. Transfer of this contract

We may transfer, assign, or delegate these Terms and our rights and obligations under them to another business, including the limited company we incorporate (see Section 1), on notice to you. Your rights as a consumer will not be affected. You may not transfer or assign your rights or obligations under these Terms to anyone else without our written consent.

20. General

If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest will remain in full force and effect.

Our failure to enforce any right under these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, our Letter Submission Terms (where relevant), and any order confirmation, form the entire agreement between you and us in relation to your subscription.
